The image above is a Film Poster, the first image I have included is a image of the real Johnny Cash. It shows him smoking a cigarette and it looks like he is thinking about life. I included this image because I think it shows how depressed he is and how hard his life was well. The image below this one is an image of Ray Cash, Johnny Cash's real father, I chose to include his father in my visual text because based off the film, Johnny Cash and his father weren't really close. This is shown when the aftermath of Jack Cash (Johnny Cash brother) funeral, when his father said the devil took the wrong son, this is indicating that he wanted Johnny Cash in his brothers place instead of the other way around. Another example of this is when its thanksgiving time and Johnny Cash is a middle aged man and he invites his family and June Carters family and he had just gotten slightly better, during this scene he said "I'm really glad you came daddy" and along some other lines he said he really wanted to make his father proud of him. The next image is on the upper centre, this is a photo of 2 brothers walking together, this photo represents that Johnny Cash still thinks of his brother on a daily. I couldn't find a real picture of Jack and Johnny cash or even a photo from the movie Walk The Line but this photo shows when I assume when they were going fishing when they were younger and they would walk together and they'd play a game, This showed the close bond they had together. The image below this picture is a picture of Johnny Cash performing for his supporters and fans, this image represents the relationship he had with his music and how sometimes he needed it because it would help him cope with his addictions and other times it would influence it and make it worse for him. For example, he made songs about his depression and I dont notice that in the movie about his life, but there are songs that I've seen on Youtube. It also helped with his relationship with June Carter. Times a Wastin which June Carter wrote with her ex-husband but June Carter and Johnny Cash did sing this song together. The next image I chose was a picture of a glass which has alcohol in it as well, next to it is a half full bottle of the alcohol brand Jack Daniels. In front of the alcohol bottle is a ashtray with a lit cigarette and the smoke that floats upwards. The very last image is a picture of the real Johnny Cash and June Carter, the background is a wood, pecan brown and nailed onto it is what I assume an american flag. Obviously Johnny Cash and June Carter is the main topic, June Carter is wearing a long sleeve white dress with lace fabric on the collar and the wrists. Her arms are crossed in a weak manner while she is smiling at the camera. Behind her is Johnny Cash, I can see he is wearing a tuxedo with a baby blue shade and something underneath the collar, but you can tell it is not a tie or a bow. His figure is holding June Carters frame with their heads side by side but his facial expression looks like a sly smile while just looking at the camera. I chose to have these to picture together because it shows what Johnny Cash has come from, and how June Carter helped him cope with his addiction with her love.

The quote I decided to include in my visual text is "Fortunately I have kept my feathers for just such an emergency. I chose this quote because it shows how much his brother meant to his, and even as a middle aged man with many years have already passed he is still grieving his brother death, the colour I chose goes from a white gray colour to a transparent blue. I chose these colour because gray represents depression and that's what Johnny Cash had to go through for a majority of his life until he finally found calmness and peace with his wife June Carter, but even then I believe he still felt guilt. Slowly the colour transfers to a blue, this is also why I chose June Carter to be the last picture because she was the only one who saw the true colours of Johnny Cash.

5 questions
The visual text I am going to create is poster

I am going to base my static image on Walk The Line

I am going to use the colours gray/white, black and a few shades of blue
I am going to use these because colour shows meaning and the meaning behind grey holds the emotion depression and Johnny Cash went through that alone for a while until he met June Carter who helped his cope with his addictions.

The symbols I will use are symbols that resembles his relationships.
The quote I chose is "Fortunately I have kept my feathers for just such an emergency" This quote shows his relationship with his brother.

I am going to use these images because this helps properly present how he struggled in his lifetime and how June Carter helped his cope and overcome his addictions

Formal Persuasive Writing - Body piercings

A majority of schools, jobs etc have banned these things.

Few of them are reasonable reasons for example their safety around machines, other than that they are just being critical.

Being able to allow piercings, tattoos and hair dye can create confidence for the younger generation and sometimes represent who they are and where they come from. For example , the Maori have patterns of their culture placed anywhere on their body to express who they are and where we come from.

I think It should be allowed because tattoos are part of culture and if someone gets a tattoo from where they come from

If piercings are going to be banned, they should ban not just the piercings they don't want, but all of them

For example, ear piercings are known to be a ¨normal¨ piercing.

Piercings are part of who you are, back in the ancient times piercings represented different things like marks of prostitution, how wealthy you are and so demon could get through to your brain.

Piercings do not just show to look cool and stuff, it goes back in time and people's culture and where they come from, and it makes everyone feel comfortable knowing they can be themselves and not feel judged for who they are.

Extreme hair dye should be normalized, the natural colours to be born with are black, brown, blonde, ginger and strawberry blonde.

It can help you grow into the adult you need to be without being limited to your options.

Sometimes you need it for jobs, like being a tattoo artist, and then there are some people who use hair dye today to get rid of their greys even if it is a natural colour.

Body piercings, tattoos and hair dye is the person's choice whether you like it or not.

It should be normalized to get things like these because it creates you into the person you will grow into.

It's dedated back to peoples culture, and it will teach the new generation not to be critical and that it is ok to get body piercings, tattoos and hair dye and that it is beautiful just as much is non-pierced, tattooed, hair dyed skin/hair

If people continue to be critical of other people's choices they do with their body it will teach the next generation that its ok to do that and they will grow up into a negative environment thinking that it's ok to judge someone.

English Static Image

Symbols -
a symbol is a picture meant to represent something, for example the symbol of gender, a girl is a circle with a plus underneath it and the symbol of a boy is another circle with a arrow at the top right corner.

Colour -
colour symbolises different things, in film Red symbolises love, blood and anger, green environment and luck, Blue symbolises trust, loyalty, wisdom and confidence, Purple symbolises royalty, nobility,                                        dignity, pride and independence, Pink symbolises                                     friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace and approachability. Yellow symbolises happiness, optimism and creativity, Green symbolises growth, harmony, freshness and fertility. White symbolises light, goodness and innocence, Brown symbolises strength, reliability, resilience, dependability, security and safety, Black symbolises power, fear, mystery and strength

Viewpoint
- the viewpoint is the angle the audience
sees the main point from. The viewpoint to the
audience can represent different things of how they see
it. For example, if you show a low angle of a building it
will make it the audience, or the person looking up to the
building more vulnerable and the building more powerful.
It can also give of the effect of fear and phobias.
If you use a high angle on a person, it will give off
the effect that that person is more weaker and the
person above them is in charge and obviously has
more power over them out of fear.

Size
- The largest image is the main point of the idea in film. For example, when I think of the Eiffel tower, I think of France which leads me to thinking of well-known French objects and food like Berets, baguette and croissant. Many artist use this for fear as well, to show the audience the main characters pov and the size of their fear to them. The image below shoes a young girls fear of the dark by creating most of the image overtaken by darkness and a small amount where there is a lamp showing very little lightness.

 Lettering

- Lettering are the different fonts and text of writing, in images and poster and stuff like that can tell a lot about how it will be displayed and it can also give different feels and emotions as you read.

Slidedeck 7 - sexxxy analysis

¨A Star is Born¨

¨A Star is Born¨ film is about a american town girl who locally performs at a bar nearby, then one time she does and coincidentally a well-known american artist visits her performance and very impressed by the end. Throughout the scene of ¨Shallow¨ the film and camera techniques I've noticed the director ( also one of the main cast members) Bradley Cooper use such as Crane ( to show the wide area of his audience), Mid shot ( I think are used to express the feeling of which the character is feeling) and Low Angle (I think maybe to show how powerful of a musician he is, and better view for audience.) All throughout the video when Bradley Cooper used things like special fx, sound fx, prop, costume, film & camera technique and many to show his audience the understanding of the film through screen.

¨A Star is Born¨

¨Limitless Pill¨

Based off the first scene I guess there is man who coincidentally finds a rare drug pill, which energises his and gives him natural human abilities, such as (I´m unsure what the original name for it, but you remember something that you have forgotten. Directed by Neil Burger, and throughout the first scene he uses film & camera techniques such as Medium shot, Insert shot, Close up, Extreme close up, Long shot, High angle, sound fx, special fx, prop, costume and many. When using such techniques, I liked the way Neil Burger used those such effects and techniques for his audience as he expresses his passion for camera work through the film ¨Limitless Pill¨

English 2020

Step 1 -
I am organised today with my stationary equipment and Chromebook charged for English.
I am in the right head space to work with others because I have fuelled my body to give itself energy to learn and stay focused.

Step 2 -
To complete my learning objective I can stay focused and not get distracted
I can manage my time for the work-timeline by organised and setting an amount of time I should spent on a working activity.
I think maybe if I have not reached the right amount of work completed today I can take it home to work with.

Step 3 -
To be learning ready I can have Mr. Aiken to help me when I'm struggling, google drive and my chromebook charged.
I can complete work that is written out and explained of course, but I may have a few questions if I am unsure.

Step 1 -
I am somewhat ready to learn because I know the what, how and when I am learning but not the why of why I'm learning.

Step 2 -
My learning goals are being able to write my own similes, metaphors, personification, hyperbole, assonance, onomatopoeia, alliteration and understand them to improve my writing.

Step 3 -
To engage in the connectivist learning process I will need my english teacher, chromebook, google doc, slides, blogger and video access websites e.g Youtube

Step 4 -
My learning went
Next time I will

Showing setting via a narrator personal POV
She ate her tanghulu marshmallows very gracefully, and the crackling sound that made when her teeth came in contact through the marshmallows were very exquisite. To finish her snack off she decided to hydrate herself with a fresh iced glass of 7 up.

The young lady gracefully ate her tanghulu / candied marshmallows and the amazement on her friends face when she could hear how detailed the chewing was, almost as if she was wearing a microphone. She moved on for her chocolate cover whipped cream that spent 1 hour in the freezer and candied strawberries. The flavours the young lady had on her taste buds were immaculate. The texture was something else though, marshmallows have a fluffy, smooth texture to it, but with the flavour of the candied sugar gave the crush and the texture hit different as well. Now she has moved on towards the candied strawberries, and the way her teeth hit the candied strawberries was a satisfaction to hear to the ear-drums. The flavour this time was different, because some strawberries, but not all have a hit of sourness to it, but not the uncomfortable kind, it was like the sour candy you have throughout your childhood, But the sweetness of the candied gave you the idea that you were tasting those golden brown crunchy sweets that you put whipped cream into or the inside of a meringue.  . The froze whipped cream was something else though, the texture was different this time because it was a soft but rough at the same time, and when you swallowed it it left a cool, moisture satisfaction in the inside of your mouth and throat. The chocolate though when it was combined together was exquisite. The chocolate was coated on lightly, but not too lightly that you couldn't taste or the cocoa or feel the texture of the crisps. The young lady quickly finished up deciding to hydrate herself with store bought lemonade(but no fizz) combined with cool sparkling water.

When the headmaster walked down those stairs it was as if there had been a spotlight placed above her. .......It was dead quiet, the only sound that was possible to be heard was the very footsteps the headmaster took with the clicking noises of her heels every step she took.
